Thrive Yoga with Silk Hammocks (Aerial Yoga) is a fun way to use a silk hammock “prop” in your yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance, coordination, and strength.

Often we hit mental stop points in our poses on the mat but the body can do more!  The silk hammocks will assist you to new heights in all your poses!  Expect to lengthen the spine, release connective tissue, and feel more of your poses while being secure and grounded.  Yoga pose sequences are for all levels of students and are designed to use the hammock as a yoga prop without any swinging or intense inverting.

Deep shoulder stretch? YES! Advance your split and extensions?  YES!  Feel free in your backbends?  YES!  Add the counter practice of “pulling” to your yoga fitness repertoire!

For a most enjoyable Yoga in Silk Hammocks experience:

  • Please arrive a 10 minutes early to receive assistance from the instructor in hammock set up.  No students will be allowed in class late and you forfeit your paid reservation.  No refunds for students arriving after class start time.
  • Thrive provides silk hammocks or you may bring your own.
  • There will be a maximum of 10 students in each class.
  • Wear sleeves to ensure comfort
  • Do not wear any jewelry or body lotion
  • Some students experience motion sickness due to the swing of the hammocks.  We recommend that you use your trusted remedies for motion sickness if that is your tendency.
  • Must be 18+ or minimum age of 14 with an adult
