Going upside-down is energizing!
Become invigorated as you break down barriers and gain strength in your handstand and headstand practice! Find your shoulder stability and mobility; your hips-over-shoulders alignment; and your core strength to enjoy the benefits of these one-of-a-kind poses.


In this workshop, we practice:

  • Drills to strengthen the core
  • Hand, wrist, and forearm strengthening
  • Trunk and leg activation for a graceful lift
  • “L” pose at the wall (with variations)
  • “Hollow body” engagement
  • Handstand kick-up variations at the wall—one-legged and two-legged with knees to chest
  • Gradual movement away from the wall to the middle of the room (if comfortable)
  • Props (including FeetUp Trainer) to support your inversion practice
  • Headstand variations—tripod, yogic headstand, straddle from fan, forearm and hand combination, and headstand crunches
  • Explore partner inversion poses


During the workshop, you will discover your center of gravity, balance, and FUN while being upside-down!


The workshop is open to all levels; we require that students be injury-free and open to going upside down.
