Expand into Your True Nature

Retreat into your true nature and into the beautiful and breath-taking Land of Fire and Ice, Iceland. Home to some of the largest glaciers in Europe, as well as some of the world’s most active volcanoes, the Icelandic landscape boasts a huge number of waterfalls, geysers, volcanoes, hot springs, hiking trails, and stunning original creations of Planet Earth. The Into Your True Nature Retreat is during early Summer in Iceland with more than 20 hours of sunlight to practice yoga, enjoy fresh food, and frolic in the unique nature of this magnificent country.

What is a typical day like?

  • Breakfast
  • Morning walk and self-reflection
  • Yoga Practice
  • Excursion/Free Time to Hike and enjoy the local area
  • Walk to the Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Evening Practice

What’s included:

  • Group Excursions:
    • Smokey valley hike & outdoor yoga: This tour starts with a 45 min bus drive to a small town called Hveragerði. From there, we hike for about an hour through a magnificent landscape with hot springs. At the end of the hike, there is a hot river, where we can soak in the hot river. Then, we hike back to the bus and drive back to Laugarvatn.
    • South Coast tour with glacier walk: This is a bus tour to the Sólheimajökull glacier with stops at two majestic waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. When we arrive at the glacier, everyone gets crampons fitted to their boots, a helmet, an ice pick, and a harness. Then we make our way up the icefall to explore the wonders of the glacier.
    • Golden Circle with cave tour: This is a classic. The bus drives us to Þingvellir national park, which is a very sacred place in the hearts of all Icelanders. This is where Alþingi was founded in the year 930 (the world’s first parliament). This place is also magnificent in terms of geology since this is where the America plate is drifting away from the Euro-Asia plate, so you can actually walk between continents. Our next stop is the one and only Geysir hot spring, and the tour finishes at the Gullfoss waterfall.
  • Yoga Practices
  • Transportation from the airport to the Inn

What’s not included:

  • Flights (suggested airline – Icelandair)
  • Travel Insurance.  We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance for the entire Retreat Expense.
  • Optional additional day excursion to Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths (a short walk from hotel)
  • Gratuities
