Part Time Front Desk Associate

About the Position:

 20 hours per week at Thrive Yoga 

Reports to: Studio Director 


  •     $ 18- $20 per hour

About the position

The Front Desk Associate  plays a key role in creating a welcoming and inviting space at Thrive Yoga. The successful candidate is highly energetic, extremely organized, pays attention to detail, and works well in a creative team environment. This person will work behind the front desk and assist our team with special projects as needed. 

Front Desk Duties:

  • Welcome all visitors according to our Customer Service standards
  • Responsible for returning and answering customer service phone calls during their shift
  • Follow Covid 19 guidelines to maintain cleanliness of studio.  Empty trash and recycling, remove clutter from the office and front desk area, clean studio rooms, Clean mirrors in bathrooms, tidy props after classes. Unpack supplies. 
  • Forward retention leads to our Membership Sales Associate.
  • Special Projects as assigned

  • Enjoys Yoga 
  • Confidence in solving customer service questions
  • Independent worker
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Temperament for multitasking and problem solving with customers
  • Computer & App savvy.  Learns App functionality quickly; Google Apps; Word; Excel; Canva; POS software like Mindbody Online, Namastream (not required but preferred); Social Media creation: Facebook; Instagram; TikTok

Applicants must have 2 years of Front Desk,Retail, Fitness Studio or customer service experience in one position, Must have 3 professional/personal references.

Full-Time Membership Sales Associate

  • 2+ years of experience in sales with proven results
  • 2+ years experience in boutique fitness sales, wellness or marketing coursework

The Membership Sales Associate position is fundamental to the success of Thrive Yoga and Academy for Extraordinary Living. We seek a candidate who enjoys engaging with potential and existing students and sell them memberships or programs that will benefit their health and lives. The Membership Sales Associate responsibilities include prospecting, developing rapport with potential clients, and exceeding sales goals. The Sales Associate enjoys, all aspect of the sales process: meet and greet; pitch; follow-up; close and upsell

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exceed goals including selling new memberships and other services, trainings and events.
  • Proficiency in the studio Point of Sale system and CRM software, sell packages and memberships, upsell events, retreats, and trainings, and assist with customer relations duties. Detail-oriented and keep extensive notes on client conversations in the CRM system for appropriate follow-up.
  • Consistently engage, know and greet all clients by name and be the customer support/sales branch of our community through building rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members
  • Coordinate with the Programming Manager to create marketing and promotional materials to attract new clients and engage current client based on set studio goals

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant work experience in Membership Sales and/or Sales Management
  • Small business experience
  • Proven track record of success at meeting and exceeding membership sales goals
  • Confidence to perform on an incentive-based salary
  • Experience in cold-calling and using a CRM system
  • An entrepreneurial spirit. Lives life with a natural curiosity.
  • Consistent yoga practice and a healthy lifestyle.

Salary: $20- $22 per hour w/Bonus opportunities
