Retreat with Susan Mondi Bowen & the Thrive Community to Moon Meadows Farm Yoga & Healing Center. This oasis of peace and natural beauty is located on a sprawling 36-acre organic farm surrounded by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Join us to relax, practice yoga & meditation, and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals in the comfort of nature with fellow yogis and new friends.

Our Friday-Sunday Retreat includes:

Deepen your practice with six yoga, meditation, and specialty practices*:

  • Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga with individual attention
  • Mind-Blowing Guided Meditation
  • Specialty Practices* of Pranayama (Breathing to reduce stress, sleep better and be more fit); Soothing and refreshing Sound Bath with 30 instruments
  • *Specialty Practices are outlined below and include Sound Immersion, Holotropic Breathwork and Ananda Mandala

Sound Bath for Deep Relaxation & Inner Knowing

Easily slide into savasana, and Susan Mondi Bowen, a Certified Sound Therapist, will create a nurturing and deeply relaxing session with a sound immersion including gongs, tuning forks, bells, ocean drum, handmade Nepalese singing bowls, and seven chakra crystal bowls. Sound baths will help ease symptoms of many conditions, including chronic pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. With intention and an elevated vibration, you will leave refreshed and vibrant.

Introduction to Holotropic Breathwork

This beginner’s Pranayama practice will include full instruction and moderation. Breathing patterns will be explored and breathing sequences will include taking deep breaths (inhale and exhale) with short breath retention.

Ananda Mandala (Breathwork, Chakras, and Mantra)

Cleansing meditation to wash out hidden emotions stuck in the body and open to higher states of consciousness. A guided rhythmic breathing pattern, followed by a concentrated and focused meditation on each chakra. Modified for all levels of practice, Ananda Mandala invites deep energetic releases from the body & energetic pathways and it generates bliss.

*Covid-19 Policies:

  • Retreaters must have proof of vaccination or a recovery from Covid-19 certificate to attend the retreat.
  • Thrive Yoga will notify all registrants of COVID-19 related requirements as we approach the retreat date to ensure that everyone has what they need for travel and the retreat

 

In the unexpected case that travel becomes restricted forcing Thrive to reschedule the retreat, we will offer a transfer of those dollars to the rescheduled retreat or a refund less $350 Thrive concierge/administration fee.
