Deep and restful, Restorative yoga is designed to help each student release tension, stretch muscles, calm down, and detoxify from overstimulation in a fast-paced world. Using props, blankets, and bolsters, yoga postures and breathing exercises are sequenced to open your body slowly without resistance. This class is complemented by breath techniques for the poses to support an easy feeling in your mind and body.

In Chakra Yoga, we will highlight a chakra center or do a multiple-chakra focused class using physical postures (all levels yoga asana), breath sets, mudras (hand positions for focus), mantras (affirmations), chant, to harmonize the physical body with the spiritual body. Hands-on adjustments will be offered as well as mentorship in grasping the practice techniques and philosophy of the subtle/energetic body-your electromagnetic field.

In Hatha Yoga, you will explore postures (asanas), breathing exercises, and energy balance (pranayama). Instruction includes pose alignment, relaxation techniques, concentration, and meditation. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice to induce the alpha brain state or deep daydream state. Yoga Nidra has been shown to reduce tension and anxiety and restore the physical, emotional, and mental body. The state of Nidra is often said to be equivalent to four times as much deep, restorative sleep.

Yin Yoga is a cooling practice that moves at a slower pace, A typical class has 6-8 postures supported by props and held for a long period of time.
Pairing this practice with an aspect of aromatherapy can further improve your mood and decrease the stress that builds up daily. Aromatic blends used in class for relaxation have a base of lavender, mint, or eucalyptus. In today’s world, it’s important to give ourselves permission to slow down and “smell the flowers” so to speak. Yin Yoga and Aromatherapy class will allow you to do just that.
Enjoy stillness of holding prop supported Yin Yoga postures and gain greater mobility. Think “long holds that feel luxurious” when completed. Students will receive one-on-one attention for modifications and prop positioning. Flow into Yang Yoga sequences that build heat and stretch and strengthen you.
