Knit the 2024 Rhinebeck Sweater: Framed

Level: Advanced beginner to intermediate 

Materials: Framed Pattern by Andrea Mowry, enough yarn for your size, needles as recommended by the pattern.

Hey there knitters!  Join Felicia, her assistant, Deborah, and the knitting community for this 8-week enrollment series to knit the beautiful Framed Sweater. You bring all the materials to the first class, and we’ll cast on together on day one.  We progress through the pattern with instruction along the way to engage in:

• Stranded colorwork in the round;
• Stranded colorwork flat;
• Reading colorwork charts;
• German short rows;
• Tubular cast-on and bind-off (optional)
• Independent knitting between sessions.

Each year, top knitwear designers release a very special pattern to celebrate the largest fiber festival in the country, The NY State Sheep and Wool Festival (in Rhinebeck, NY). The craze for this sweater is world wide—whether or not you attend the festival in October! This is a beautiful quilt-like geometric gem, highlighting colorwork at its finest! It is flattering on all body types—and gives you a chance to play with COLOR.  Felicia and Deborah are available before the first session to assist you in yarn selection and finding your correct size.
