Spring is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by knitting a Pressed Flowers garment! Pressed Flowers patterns are SO engaging and one of the most popular pattern series on Ravelry. Knitters can’t put them down! Choose one of the patterns below, bring your materials, and let’s knit together to create a super-fun spring outer layer–a MUST HAVE for your knitted wardrobe.

In this eight-week series, we continue refining our mosaic skills by knitting a Pressed Flowers sweater (cardigan or pullover), designed by Amy Christoffers. For beginners to mosaic knitting, we recommend starting with the kerchief to learn the basics of this technique. Over eight weeks, you will receive individualized support and instruction so you can complete your project. Most weeks include a mini-lesson to help hone your knitting skills–and learn new ones. These techniques are teacher and group generated and may include:
● Implementing chart reading working flat (cardigan) and in the round
(pullover);
● Interpreting pattern directions;
● Practicing Mosaic knitting working flat and in the round;
● Understanding contrasting yarn colors;
● Creating raglan sleeves (pullover);
● Working German short rows;
● Making buttonholes (cardigan);
● Understanding textured knitting working flat (cardigan).
If you need assistance in determining an appropriate size or color palate, Felicia and/or Deborah will consult with you before the first class. The series includes weekly pop-ups (optional) on Friday at 11:00 AM at an offsite location; these are confirmed weekly.
